Patio Covers – You can extend your living room and entertainment space for a camper by building a porch cover. It is relaxing to sit on a porch during hot weather, but you can attach a part of the porch for year-round use. The appearance of the porch will depend on how much planning you enter into the design work. Material for a nice porch or poorly constructed porch will cost almost the same.
Buy 2 of 12 timber boards to construct porch framing. Build roof surface on the Patio Covers to the slope 12 inches from top to bottom. Do not attach the wood frame to the mobile home itself, if you need to move it. Instead, secure framing to porch flooring with stainless steel screws and nuts rather than simple screws. Use posts that are at least 10-inch with 10-inch square. Do not use around support posts on a camper porch.
12 Picture Gallery: Installing Patio Covers
Patio Covers with exterior-grade plywood. Make the plywood extend a few inches above the gap at the top between the trailer and the ceiling to protect against rain. Install tarp and asphalt shingles on the veranda roof. Place gutters and plumbing at the front of the veranda with a concrete splash block at each end of the porch. Cover the underside of the porch with plywood and install a luminaire or light fan combination. Wood all electrical wires through external quality spiral hose. Follow all building standards or recommendations from your local fire marshal.
