Hugger ceiling fans makes a good addition to any room in your house. In the summer months the fan circulates the air in the room to cool down, while in the winter time the direction of the blades is reversed to force the hot air near the ceiling downwards. A ceiling fan is mounted in the center of the ceiling, where normally a normal lamp will be placed. However, most ceiling fans are available with a set of lights. If you have a low, flat roof, a hugger-style ceiling fan may be the right choice for you. A hugger style fan mounts near the ceiling so that the blades provide ample space for the head.
Turn off the electrical power to the junction box where you will install the hugger ceiling fans in the main box. Keep the ceiling fan mounting plate of the junction box on the roof, making sure that the cables in the box hang down through the hole in the center of the mounting plate. Secure the mounting plate with screws that came with the junction box turned with a Philips screwdriver clockwise.

Suspend the fan motor to the connection box with the hook provided to make the connection of the cables easier. Twist the black wire of the hugger ceiling fans and the black wire of the junction box together with pliers. Twist a cable nut at the end of the twisted wires clockwise until it is tight. Repeat this step for the white wire of the fan and the white wire of the junction box.
