To double-roll, in a discreet place, place a drop of water to see if there is a shock. If the water is broken, your floor is ready; they are just boring and look untrue. If the water penetrates the wood, your floor is unfinished and needs special care.

You should really consider finishing your floor. It will last longer, be easier to clean, and will be less likely to be hurt by games. Professionals can finish your floors for you, or you can try to do it yourself, which is a difficult task, but can be complemented by most average homeowners. Expect to sand your unfinished oak flooring several times with different grades of sandpaper, fix any broken wood planks, fill holes, stains, if desired and then use multiple layers of sealant (finisher) such as polyurethane.
